Your heavy cream will whip up faster if you wait and add the vanilla and powder sugar at the end.

correct, the cake is dry - as the original recipe calls for - and it's balanced with the smoothness of the whipped cream. this cake as well as Sacher torte cake (from Vienna - in a different recipe) are supposed to be dry originally dry, but you can find all different versions where sponge cake is used instead for more smoothness. I personally like to the original version, but you can use any type of cake you prefer.

Alia... i stay in india mumbai and jus learning to prepare cakes....as i loved ur recipe but m unable to find whipping cream milk....where wil i find it?and please tel me brand name...

Look for 'heavy cream' and whip it. You should have heavy cream in any store.
