5th Installment of Jamtasm's Summer Musical Series

What can I say about Hairspray! It's energetic, pumped, full-of-spirit, lively, colourful and damn-good-looking! Here's a musical based in the city of Baltimore in the good ol' 60s where it was all about the slickest hair, mad suits, sweet dresses, and RACIAL SEGREGATION.

One plump teenage girl is about to break all the barriers of social norm by fighting for racial integration and winning not only the heart of the TV show stud, but the hearts of Americans through song & dance.

Explosive hit songs from composer Mark Shaiman; this soundtrack got me hooked for at least 18months non-stop. Every tune is toe-tapping and vibrant and makes you feel good!

@JAMTASM haha no i haven't watched jersey boys, haven't gotten around to seeing it! have heard its fabulous though:)i think the last theatre thing i saw was FAME... only because i won tickets to it. gosh its been so long!

@JAMTASM haha i will:) i am heading to adelaide for wicked in april - and also watching music of andrew lloyd webber in may - and possibly dr zhivago in feb, so my theatre scehdule is pretty packed already ;) but who knows, if i have time, i might go see jersey boys:)
