On March 27, Riderwood staff and nearly 40 residents participated in Senior Expo: Healthy, Smart, Green and Growing at the Behnke Nurseries Garden Center in Beltsville, Md. The Maryland Department of Aging and the Prince George's County Department of Family Services Administration on Aging partnered with Behnke Nurseries to host this event. The expo was attended by nearly 400 people and highlighted the advantages of a healthy, green lifestyle. Experts and organizations in the field of nutrition, fitness, environment, and aging were in attendance, along with legislators, the general public, and media. During the four-hour expo, Riderwoods sales and Renaissance Gardens marketing staff, as well as a variety of resident groups, shared information at four sponsor tables about life at Riderwood, including ways that residents live a healthy, green lifestyle.
