The Palmer method (Palmer, 1965) is one of methods for the calculation of the mean monthly values of water balance components (potential and actual evapotranspiration, moisture loss from the soil, recharge and runoff).
The Palmer method assumes that precipitation amount is distributed between the evapotranspiration and drenching soil with the excess water running off. If the precipitation amount is insufficient, the soil water storage evaporates and there is no runoff.
This model was I build in Blender. I used smoke simulator for steam, particles for rain and grass, cloud generator for cloud (in addons). Thanks to Jonathan Williamson and rest of the crew from BlenderCookie.com for help on learning working in Blender with their great tutorials, and support.
It is on Croatian language because this video was made for one presentation lesson for Prof.dr.sc. Želimir Ortolan, dipl.ing.geol. who teach on "Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek" (Croatia).
