@GLiTTERGLiTZ98 nope, we're actually from a small town called "Skokie" in Illinois. =) This was from two years ago when I was a senior in high school

heres a helpful exercise: sit in a straddle position on the floor. put one hand in front, one hand in back for balance, and lift your leg up using your hip flexor muscles. this is VERY painful. then i switched to the other side (do 10 on each side) then do both legs.
during the jump, i think about my knees pointing up to the sky, so it is like doing middle splits in the air (or higher than parallel) its a lot of using your hip muscles. & yes i can do the middle splits :)
