This is not even close to being the largest nugget in the world. This one was found in Australia, not Nevada. Go to Las Vegas and you'll see one much bigger...heck just do some Wiki research and you'll find there were several nuggets way bigger than this one.

Well, it was just reported on KCRA News, in Sacramento, that this nugget was not found in Nevada county after all. It was found in near Melbourne, Australia in 1987. The buyer has been reimbursed, and the nugget was sold to another buyer.

Sorry for the typo...the nugget was sold for $400,000, not $4,000,000. I got a little carried away with the zeros. :\

@treasurefindermd Yes, it's true. It was found last year, not far from where I live, in Nevada County. It was sold to an anonymous bidder for $4000,000.
