@beatcrazy14 I wouldn't be able to help it just imagining the repercussions knowing how off the handle Buddy was.

I definitely heard that error, and I would have looked right at that person who screwed up. I do it all the time with groups I play with. However, I not into cussing people out and belittling them like Buddy was infamous for.
-
@robkosinski Okay, calm down... it's just an old jazz clip. No need to start mindless stereotyping.
-
I don't like these guys' attitude. They may be right but if they think lin lost the gig, they shouldn't be laughing.
-
he didn't hear it.
-
they just need something to have a show about

I guess it was a mistake and it's supposed to be a big deal but if Buddy hadn't turned to look, who would have noticed? I think it sounded good. It was certainly musical. Many time there are "call and answer" parts.

you dont wanna screw up in buddy rich's band, he was a poerfectionist and if you werent perfect he would fire your ass in a second or not even hire you. and if you try to stand up to him, 30 years of martial arts under his belt . "Theres Buddy Rich...and then there's everybody else.
-
@AStudCalledKyle but the point is, Buddy the Drummer caught it, because it's HIS band!
-
@BHWR because in the real world of music everybody expects you to be perfect. Music demands it.
The best in the world doesn't need to tolerate any mistakes. Seriously. He's paying these people. How many mistakes is OK? 2? 10? 50 per night? That's how you stay mediocre America. You're all clearly the "everybody's a winner" generation...

This clips more about how subtle the mistake was and how keen Buddy's overall awareness was.
