In this time lapse video blue-colored water is dripped at a rate of 2 drops per second onto a diatomaceous earth stream table. The erosion pattern of a simulated stream can be seen in the clip. Video created by two Galaxy Explorers Teen Volunteers at the Chabot Space & Science Center, Oakland, CA.

This was made using a diatomaceous earth stream table. Diatoms are tiny fossil creatures that can be dangerous if inhaled when dry, but when wet stick together and work great for stream tables.
