This video was shot on Thursday the 24th, 2009 from the dorm rooms of Tower A of the University of Pittsburgh.
Events preceding this standoff. The Anarchist group that did not have a permit to march had marched earlier that day in Larwrenceville. It got broken up around 2pm. Around 8pm, they began to march and protest down Forbes (the street in the video) and to Shenley Plaza down the road. There had been about 18 businesses damaged that day by the same group. That is when the riot police stepped in.
Pitt had not canceled classes so, naturally, alot of college students were still on the campus. When they heard that riot police and Anarchists were right down the street, curiosity overtook the kids. This made it harder for the cops to tell who was who when the Anarchists all dispersed. So they tried to get alot of the kids back into the dorms. This was like talking to a brick wall as most kids thought, "They can't be talking to me, I'm just watching." Then a small conglomerate or mixed up Anarchists and college students formed on Forbes. The police pushed them back through the quad(a dorm complex) and down Forbes simultaneously. Pretty clear evidence that police blocked the people on the building and gassed them. this should be shown on major media channels.
