people in the streets dont stop for the fire department they need to stop when they see and hear the fire department trucks

OK, your a fucking dumbass whoever put this on. The cars aren't going to be able to stop that quickly. The truck approaches the intersection at 7 seconds and the car is already off the screen by 9.

in the UK if you don't stop they will drive over the top of you. If you block a road by parking incorrectly your mirrors will fly off, car end up smashed or later towed away by police. People do always move for emergency vehicles - with the exception of being forced unsafely to cross a red traffic light. People don't often stop for police cars!!!

@GUMMYBEAYUH Newer vehicles are better sound-proofed so siren may not be heard until close.

There are also DEAF drivers andrivers who make themselves "deaf" with excellent stereo systems turned up.

My vehicle has lights also on the front facing to the sides at cross-traffic so it is recognized earlier. Approaching vehicles then have more opportunity to slow and stop.

There was nothing wrong here. Ride out with Houston FD and you'll see what not pulling over is. I'v seen HFD driving on the wrong side of the rode because no one yeilds to the sirens. What you saw here was two cars driving at a green light who didnt see or hear the truck, if the truck wants to get by they can easily slide out inch by inch till the cars (if on a busy street) can see the lights and relize the truck is trying to merge with the right of way.

What is the problem?

Vehicles with their green signal are expecting to continue.

If they do not detect the siren over their stereo, it is often too late for them to stop by the time they see the lights - and figure out the vehicle is not PARKED with all its lights on - as usual.

People do try to help.

Ya got to give them a chance.
