@XantaliX She is a Princess and is about to transform from a caterpillar into a butterfly. But she must complete a test first (The Balancing Cane Act that comes in later in the show) in order to prove she's worthy of choosing her own mate. As you can see, in the end she passes the test and gets to be with him.

The girl in the yellow is called the betrothed. Icarus would be the catalyst for her to turn into a butterfly.
