The Civil Wars Days reenactment at Naper Settlement in Naperville, IL. All musical credit to Anonymous 4.

Though the battle was excellent in its own right, there were too many bystanders around to do a full combat video. Instead, I hope this slow-motion montage (mostly of Union troops and cannons), with some narrative to boot, will suffice. And sorry for the poorer quality here on YouTube (this was shot with a Canon 550D). As a side note, that cannon closest to me dealt horrors to the ears and body, as you can see when it knocks away the boughs of the tree above my head. Kids who were previously itching for the battle to start were soon asking when it would all be over. I'm sure it was doing damage to my camera (but anything for the sake of the shot).

  • Can you put the name/artist of the music you put on your videos in the description? I really like it, same for the 2010 WWII reenactment. :)

  • @OneSkiWonder Song titles and artists are at the end of all my videos.

  • @draconiccus Though he comment had nothing to do with yours, you are right. I find it funny that though they lost they reenact it. Kind of like how you Americans lost Vietnam and in some respects the war of 1812.

  • Cont. Next time keep your childish immature comments to yourself. I have no more time to sqaunder on one who is my intellectual inferior. fuck you.

  • Cont. And plus: "we dont like how the union lies about it" do you have any fucking idea how dumb you sound saying that? Your part of the union you dumbass! At the next reenactment you go to. do the world a favor and use live ammunition! Anybody with more then a single brain cell will know that the statement that the stars and bars is a symbol of states rights is bullshit.

  • How did states rights come into the fucking conversation? Im entitled to my opinion and in normal society it probably holds more weight then your own. why should i be bothered to solicit your opinion? my statement had absolutely nothing to do with states rights and i do not in the least believe it was appropriate for you to react that strongly fuck you and fuck the south im disgusted i have reletives there

  • @draconiccuss wow your a dumbass yankee you have got to be a huge moron WE STUDY IT BECAUSE OF OUR HERITAGE AND OVER IT BEING OVER STATES RIGHTS NOT SLAVERY we dont like how the union lies about the meaning and says its over slavery and brainwashes idots like you

  • Ok does anyone think its kinda weird that in the south people there study and reenact a war.... They lost?

  • Glad you think so.

  • @draconiccuss Aww! That is so cute! I always wanted to be a reenactor when I was little! Me, my sisters, and my neighbors would all get out our toy guns and caps and run back and forth from our forts shooting each other from dawn to dusk! And now, I am a reenactor, so I got my wish!:D

  • I remember back in like 07 when after the reenactement a whole bunch of kids got together with pop guns and cap guns it went on for like 3 hours and i loved it anyone else remember that?

  • Please make a vid for this years Gettysburg event! My brother is falling in with the 98th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry regiment..
