  • Stupid punks. People distort because they can't disprove.

  • @deejtechno22 #davidlory Classic #anti-mormon tactic...It never gets old to them.

  • Jesus through his father Joseph was a descendant of David. I'm not refuting the scriptures or Gospels, but we need to think of about it in terms of what the scriptures say. I'm glad you didn't say God had sex with Mary, cause to me that's blasphemy. But God can do anything, as you stated in other videos you've made. So it isn't impossible that through the holy spirit God impregnated Mary, but through Joseph genes or lineage, which is what it says int the Gospels.

  • @apocalypse1280 Well, yes, Jesus being the son of God and Mary and Joseph, had a literal and earthly right to be King of the Jews. This is the significance of his earthly parents. Mary was also royal lineage. They were a good match though Joseph was older. The Jews never questioned his right to be their mortal king, but they gave into Roman pressure. They hated him because he said he was the Son of God. He could have built them an earthly kingdom without hands, but they killed him.

  • @aaronshaf2006 You are not open, not flexible. You are dishonest blocking mormons.

  • @aaronshaf2006 Sounds like my people. Yes, we do a lot of "thinking" because we have no creeds or official theology. I call them gospel rumors and we have many. We don't need anti-mormons to teach false doctrine about our faith, we have plenty of mormons to do that already. But they are good people.

  • @aaronshaf2006 I just don't see it happening, but there was some form of "union. Point taken.

  • @davidlory Last Friday Bill McKeever and I pre-recorded seven (yes, seven!) radio shows on Mormonism's approach to the virgin birth, so this issue has been on my mind. Some Mormons think that "virgin birth" refers to the fact that Mary (before the birth of Jesus) didn't have sexual relations with a *mortal* man.

  • @davidlory OK, so you seem to be open to it. I ask because in your video you simply deny having affirmed that God had sex with Mary, yet nowhere except in the title of the video do you actually deny that God had sex with Mary. The distinction is important: you can deny affirming something without denying that same thing. So perhaps the title of your video should be, "I don't know if God the Father had sex with Mary"?

  • @aaronshaf2006 I don't know. What do you think? Do you think nature "precludes" God from having a son with a mortal woman? Christ is a grand mystery. This is a scientific question and not one of faith. I don't know the galactic science behind how God becomes incarnate and no one else does either. It's not in the Bible. Let's stick to the scriptures. The Bible and the Book of Mormon both say she was a virgin who gave birth. That's an act of faith to believe. I have faith, but I seek knowledge.
