Here we have Vic Thrill & cohort performing The Clash's 'Bankrobber' at Irving Plaza NYC one year after Joe Strummer's death, at a benefit for the Strummerville charity. [punkcast#370-61]

  • Yes it was great show. I had hoped that the DVD I made of it might be sold to benefit Strummerville but I'm yet to find a distributor.

  • This version of "Bankrobber" seemed to be an excellent rendition of that song. But, when I have heard at 4:27 the original Clash song coming out from the turntable, CD player, sampler, or whatever else it was, I have changed my opinion. It was a good one :)

Many many thanks to all the artists who have made this tribute to JOE, and to you, "Joly", for sharing this video. 5* ;)
