  • @PatGleeson123 Or "The Day After".

  • I remember when either one of my local TV stations or my cable company used to do something similar to this when an EBS test was activated. Whenever an empty office sort of thing appeared on my TV, I would run away before the attention signal started. Does anyone else remember anything like that? A station not using one of those test cards, but using footage of an office where a test might be activated?

  • NIce uplifting news story! LOL

  • The EBS is scary enough, but if you really want to lose sleep watch the 'Threads' movie (made by the BBC) shown in the clip - terrifying.

  • Great story!!!

  • Well that made me feel much safer.

  • What test card was that in the beginning? It has to be a Minneapolis Station

  • Well... your computer if you use a PC tuner card [the box/casing, the outer shell made of metal] is protected from an EMP in essence, it's your wires and connectors that are not.

Stupidly, everything else [including you monitor and power systems [outside the outside power]] would be useless.

  • This report explains every nightmare I had as a 7 year old in 1984........good grief!

  • It the EBS test card from WTCN (known as KARE 11) Minneapolis?
