@njstalks The preparations you take depends on what you believe will occur. Imagine living in a country with 1.5 billion people if the global economies fail resulting in global chaos, global famine, and global martial law. In a country the size of India, there may be safe areas, but they must also be habitable and self-sustainable. Add the possible cosmic and geological events such as pole shift, planet X, etc. and the challenges increase exponentially. Underground-maybe; Remove-absolutely.

Survival is not an option in my opinion. Unless you are wealthy enough to construct a high tech underground living area that is completely self sufficient for many years. Imagine all the toxic waste that will be spread around the planet. The annihilated nuclear reactors and warheads. The secure bio labs releasing all their deadly airborne pathogens. Why bother? I'm going to happily accept our global fate and get a lawn chair out and enjoy the show with a nice drink and maybe a puff or two.

@beyaakoeleman YOu can build a nuke proof shelter for under 500 bucks with earth bags. Also, magni works offers instructions on how to build a perpetual motion magnetic generator that deletes the need for solar or wind.. it costs about 30 bucks to build. I plan to live like this just because I want to be left alone and not have bills. My 10 acres costs less that apartment rent. I do massage therapy but don't like the Utopian idea of slavery all over again. Sorry. Not cool.
