They already made a decent biopic of Lennon's earlier life, it's called "Backbeat" and it stars someone with more on-screen charisma than this limp dick.
It comes out on general release in the u.k on boxing day! Very little of the film was shot in Liverpool. The Mendips, Mathew st and outside scenes where filmed down south.
Granted there will be things altered, but the real story is in there somewhere... and the important thing is that no one can re-write it no matter what. cause its already been communicated by the real Beatles to the world. So I think we owe it to ourselves, as Beatle people, to be the FIRST to support this. :D Personally I find it humbling & inspiring that even after all these years, people still make tributes, movies, bands, art, etc related to those talented Liverpool lads we love.
Maybe I'm being optimistic, but can't we give this a chance? Every time a new movie comes around, out pours the sckepticism.... why are some people intent of willing failure? If we just see it for what it is there maybe something in it we can all enjoy. It would be a beautiful thing if Beatle fans can accept it... in fact shouldn't we be the first to support? I mean, we'd be able to appreciate the most since we know the story...
