I would say Sing the Sorrow was their most complete, best album. Thats pretty obvious. This album has a few great songs "The missing frame, love like winter, prelude 12/21, m-murder" but those are also really the only standouts on the album. Where as in Sing the Sorrow every single song is good.

AFI was great back in the day and now, I really have zero complaints with their work.

@JOINTHEPOSSE The dial tones spell "Affliction," another song on the album.

@LANAZIG You said it like you were my twin bro. I was my first gfs b day party and we listened to this by a campfire

@513986916 girl... and i just enjoy looking up musical history.

@513986916 I think AFI in their more recent albums just have a sound that fits a dark backdrop. The poetic lyrics and melodies just make the music sound that way. It's the sort of stuff you can imagine being played on a snowy night rather than a warm summer's day, if that makes any sense.

@Meteddica What is it about this album that makes it "wintery?" I do agree with you, that it is...but what do you think it is? I think it's the comfort in an emotionally grey state and the feeling of the sounds on this...shit I don't know.

@EngorgedxSpleen said the guy who heard it said that way....

Anybody at the end knew what phone number was she/he typing at 1:44?

@musicftw783 Just look at Linkin Park. Same scenario. They've changed a lot, but I like their older music as well as their newer.
