This is why I've always loved those type of umbrellas. In my hands they'd instil fear into would be muggers and rapists.

Love the idea, but when you you live in Los Angeles (where it rains 3 days a year:) it's a bit unpractical.

since ordinary, decent ppl in UK aren't allowed defence weapons against muggers, rapists and hoodlums, this is a good improvisation. I'd rather have a gun personally, but 'Nanny State' says no....
