The Windies fans had been pissing Boyck's off all match, hence him trying to smash the last ball of the day probaly hoping to catch one of them in the head , they kept running on to the pitch between wickets, i even seen one daft cnut in this match run on to the wicket with a bottle of orange juice and poured it into a plastic cup and offered it to a windies player. Unbelivable. that guy at 1.16 had been an arsehole all day and geoff wasn't gonna stand for any of his bullshit.

Why were they giving it to Boycott physically like that? Did he do something during the innings?
I know he's Boycott and that means he's gonna cop flak, but really, it looked like something was really happening, or rather, had happened so that these guys went mental. By the way, that's Keith Boyce bowling?

@cupidvogel, I agree, mobs would storm the field regularly back then. But manhandling, by defination, means to roughly move someone or something with man power alone. Which is precisely what happenend here.
