There were a lot of musicians present Saturday night at Skunk Hollow during the weekend of the 2008 Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival, but no one was playing anything.
So Australian-born pianist Monty Suffern said something like "Let's get the yanks riled up" and began to play some American patriotic tunes. He was quickly joined by Russian-born pianist Larisa Migachyov, and soon many other musicians joined in.
