A Tribute to the King of Pop

A tribute to Michael Jackson after being cleared on all 10 counts. The man is innocent. He always was.

EDIT: June 26, 2009. I thought it was a joke when my boyfriend told me. Then I received a text message saying he had passed away. Then another. And another. And then I turn on the radio in the car and it's everywhere. Between radio jockeys talking about how much Michael influenced the world of music, they are playing nothing but his songs. It was so surreal. I was still waiting to hear it was a huge hoax... or they made a mistake. Michael was going to live forever. He HAD to. Music icons don't just DIE...

But it wasn't a hoax. Or joke. And no one lives forever, I knew that... but I wasn't prepared for how sad I would be when it happened. I almost got mad for a little while. I felt like screaming to the tabloids (and to anyone who liked to concern themselves with the usual MJ gossip), "are you happy now??" Because I felt like now, when he dies, is the only time people will see him in the light his real fans have always seen him in. Untouchable.

I just wish he had made his rumored comeback before he died. But for true fans, I guess we didn't need one, did we? He was always great. Rest in peace, Michael.
