I think it's just the 1.0 version ... I dunno, it was running on an emulator, so I didn't look too closely for version number stuff.

is there a way to change back to bear and bird without restarting the emulation? cause humba won't let me leave without changing back so i have to restart

I don't remember if there is ... you might be able to do it by changing the code so you become B&K again when passing through a door, but I don't remember as it's been a while now since I've used this.

The easiest way is to go to the code chamber in the first world and enter "CHEATO" on the wall and then "NESTKING". No GameShark required even. :)
