i love going to the ghetto! you get the best miso in china town, and the best parmasean cheese in little italy. my grandma always says, we dont live in the ghetto, the ghetto is where the Jews were sent in natzi germany. she is correct, thought words adapt and change to fit a new situation. to me ghetto = abbrasiveness. mean, angry for no reason your willing to fight. its the stupid "hood" mentality that my male cousin keeps repin'. its being close minded and ignorant on purpose.

I fully agree with you...I work with some people that really irritate me lol simply because they don't see an issue with the way they talk & I am sure they didn't talk like that to get the job--so why be fake--if you can act proper enough for a job interview then there is no excuse as to why you can not act that way all the time!

Really?? lol that is crazy, but here they have what they call the question of the day and they ask the q? and ppl call, text or email in their answers...My friend is in the Chi now---how do you like it there??

i dont like when ppl glorify hood lifeor the projects i grew up in the projects and couldnt stand livin there i was happy as hell when we moved out i never forget where i come from but i dont never wanna live in that kind of neighborhood again but to answer ur question what is a ghetto its a poor densely populated city district occupied by a minority ethnic group linked together by economic hardship and social restrictions

None of you all do not know what the word actually means. The word ghetto means poor homes and people who really do not have anything. Plus the jews were the first ones who was called ghetto during the nazi years in europe. Now In america when the 1950s were over with white people start building new houses in different areas and before they move to their new homes they left a huge mess in their old homes and they start selling it to black people. Thats when people start calling it the ghetto.

im not from usa, im from russia, i was almost everywhere and i saw alot. so wat is ghetto???...Ghetto is when u dont have food, shoes, house,clothes etc. when people are watching at u,like ur nothing for them. its not wat rap stars r showing us in their videos. and in russia its really worse then in usa

yeah, exactly! its low class, harsh, abrasive. if someone called me ghetto, id be insulted. when i say low class, i dont mean poor, like money poor. i mean bad manners and certain gestures.
