This is a final video of this little steam engine after some design and construction problems had been found and corrected, improving the running performance enormously. It shows and describes the engine in detail, and shows it in operation, forward and reverse, fast and slow, under comressed air power.

  • If anyone is interested, the drawings, DVD etc, are now on eBay!

  • Yes it is: because the crank pins are set at 90 degees apart, one oscillating valve port is always open so it never needs a twist of the flywheel to get it running.

  • You can tell the quality of an engine by how slow it runs, and this one will crawl! Nice work. Thanks for sharing!

  • Z punktu widzenia mechaniki to bardzo karkołomne i błędne rozwiązanie techniczne. Sztywny korbowód z tłokiem i poruszający się cylinder to idiotyzm. To że sie kręci to jeszcze nie powód do zachwytu.

  • your hands produce gold Mr ^ ^ im so impressed

  • absolutely wonderfull. thank you very much. the design seems to be nearly perfect and needless to say, the machining is second to none. beautifull.

  • @dreamtoneamps oops, sorry for commenting to soon I saw the video now where you enplane making the crank with press fitting. But would still like to have a link for your ebay plans. - Thanks!

  • @johnsimmance Can you post the link to the plans? I was also curious how you make the crank shaft? Is it machined from one solid part if so can you explain how that is done? - Nice job, runs excellent!

  • Hats of to you! very nice.

  • awsome

  • nice engine !!!!! :)

  • omg its awesome
