Alliance guilds Ordo Seclorum and Alliance of Exile in The Molten Core (Garona server). Our two guilds raided/learned the entire zone together before splitting off into solo raiding guilds before taking on Ragnaros. We first downed Majordomo together (last boss shown in this movie) on 6/14/05.

This was the first WoW movie I made and I made it mostly to show some friends that didn't raid what The Molten Core and the mobs and bosses inside looked like. Making this one spurred me into making other and slightly more ambitious videos (including a sequel to this one).

All the WoW "movie" videos I've made (i.e. the non-boss-kill recordings) are more or less constructed in a way that shows the progression of a raid and the basic order of encounters and events as you progress through a given zone. That was the basic idea used when I put this one together and I did carry that approach forward while attempting a bit more pre-planning and organized thought about effects and construction in subsequent videos.

  • This was made at the end of '04 and into '05. Your level 41 Druid bears no resemblance to what characters were capable of in the game at that time. A relatively small part of the player population was even trying or capable of this raid at the time.

  • how can this video be so long and have so high quality? i mean it should be more than 1 GB ?! please tell me what filming program and edit program you used its awesome

  • I made this a long time ago but was recorded using fraps (full version) and edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio. As noted in the description I made this to show some friends that weren't playing the instance. The sequel had a little more pre-planning than you see here.

  • I'm impressed. I've only been playing WoW for 2 going on 3 years, started pre-BC, but I've never reached 60 in time, and therefore never have been able to do the old school raids, which I would have loved to see. I've got to say, great coordination from the whole raid and the video was done so professionally. I applaude you wholeheartedly. I know this video is old but have you done the other classic raids?

  • Thanks. This was actually the first one I ever made and it was more or less to show a friend that wasn't raiding what MC was like. Check my channel (click my username) to see the other videos.
