Those who have been lucky enough to have lived in the islands for an extended period of time well know the magic of this and other songs that evoke special feelings associated with a culture that is pretty magical ! !

I don't know what you mean. Frances Langford captured the spirit of EVERYTHING she sang. There is no one like her. This is a tremendous rendition. Listen to her phrasing and her interpretation of the words. Every word is important to Frances. I do thank you so much for posting this.
