"Regis & Kelly" Epic Fail Round On Wheel Of Fortune 1/4/2010

All three contestants commit epic fails trying to solve the same puzzle "Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa"...watch as nobody can say the names right to save their life...finally Lee on the end decides he's going to make sure it is what he thinks it is and spins until he gets every letter in the puzzle up there, then he misses it! This is without a doubt the worst round of Wheel of Fortune in the history of the show! LOL

****Note**** Please stop bashing the Military over this video's epic failure. It does not say anything about any branch of the military one way or another. These people are like cops and firefighters, putting their lives on the line so other people can sit home and watch shows like Live With Regis and Kelly.

****Note #2**** Anyone saying that these two are not household names....Regis Philbin has been on TV for 30 years. Kelly Ripa has been on since 2001 or 2002. Anyone who thinks someone is better off not knowing them, it's not because they have been in the military and haven't had time to have ever heard of them....

The poster of this video is an idiot. It's not an "epic fail" because they didn't know the exact pronunciation of Kelly Ripa's last name.

Not everyone wastes their lives watching trash tv talkshows.

I bet they would have accepted "Ree-pa", but didn't because Philman was just plain wrong. And I'm sure Kelly herself would have corrected "Rye-pa". :)

As long as I can remember, Wheel has always paid close attention to pronunciation. This happened years back. "Rio de Janeiro" was the puzzle. IIRC, the contestant went on to solve the puzzle with confidence. But it remained unsolved because she mispronounced "Janerio".

The main reason Regis and Kelly didn't speak of this is because majority of their audience and ratings come from American and patriotic-focused females and retirees. It would be a sh*t pie thrown in their face.
