I loved this mall. I remember going there to see Santa as a child and riding the train. So sad that it had to go.

I remembered going that mall in 1998 or 99 can't remember, but I do remember that mall was so outdated. It even had the same bench and lamp post the Westminster Mall had.

LOL! I moved out of Colorado in 1997 and now live in Japan. The Malls here are still packed with vendors and customers. Sad to see so many businesses closing down. Not to mention the Malls.

They had some badass Haunted houses

Thank you for sharing this video. I remember so much of this mall. It heartbreaks me to think that this mall is no longer there.

I used to be a manager at the hydo tubes in this mall.we used to have after hour parties for the mall staff. I love it.

I was one of the last people to walk out before the wrecking balls came. It was myself Troy and David that turn off the lights for the last time. I worked at sixteen different business at that mall over the years. I met my first wife there, we were married at the theater that I managed. I met the woman I left my wife for there. I lived in the offices to the Woolsworth for almost two years. I loved that mall.

I came here with my mom back in the mid to late 90's to see Santa, when I drove past its location I almost had a heart attack to see it gone :(. I loved the fountains they had all through the mall :)
I remember "Body Talk" in the center core kitty-corner from Picadilly Lane. My mom got me a multicolored leotard/swimsuit with matching skirt when I was six years old. I wore that suit every week to swimming lessons and ever other time I swam. It lasted five years!
I also remember Hydrotube-- it was right next to the Bellco bank for a time, but I never got to go. :(

Cinderella city was the best; I remember it as the biggest place in the world when I was a kid. I really wish I could have documented that mall before it was torn down. We still have Westminster Mall, it was built around the same time as Buckingham and it is still open. New malls suck, full of annoying cell phone dealers and trendy clothing stores.

I thought somebody told me Westminster was torn down. Well anyway Cinderella was cool eventhough I have very few memories there. We used to go to the Drive-Inn right next to it and they got rid of that! Colorado really sucks now. they're getting rid of all the good places. Those cellphone dealers get on my nerves! They got pissed off at me at the Mills mall because I ignored them. They started shouting at me and i just kept walking lol.

I hear ya on the cell phone dealers, Aurora Mall errr "Aurora Town Center" has way too many! They heckel you and push their products like crack. I only go to Aurora Mall for the Pappinos Pizza now. Westminster is still open and is really the last of the old malls in Colorado. It's cool I recomend checking it out, but expect crack errr cell phone dealers.
Colorado is in a sad state in terms of old places going away but we still have a few places left. Seek them out!

Thanks again for keeping the comments coming!
Buckingham maybe gone but at least it lives on here. That's why I did this.
The former site of the mall is in full redevelopment, and they even have a few new buildings up. I too think these out doors "malls" are shitty. Who wants to shop an outdoor mall in December? Not Me!
