  • Vote the Carpenters into the Hall of Fame! please! They deserve it!

  • This is a GREAT biography! One of the best features is where they included the live music in the performance clips that are featured, such as at the White House; it makes me wish they were out here on YouTube....

  • @MrChad6729 It's a rental...

  • Who is the bombshell blond sitting by Henry Kissinger?

  • Ted Nugent and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad both confess to being huge Carpenter fans.

  • @manderson610 Confession Time! I used to sneakily listen to the Carpenters in my friend Margaret's room at college. I had been as progressive/underground/counter cultural as they come but the Carpenter's was a revelation and a secret -guilty pleasure. So THANKYOU Maggie (and it was mostly the girls -us macho Prog Rock males daren't own up to it!). A yr later, I met my wife who was also a Carpenters fan. I was OUTED & never looked back. From that point on I told any 'critics' where to get off!

  • @jezkn Dead-on assessment. Thank you!

  • Ah -I remember it well. The rock establishment rubbished them and people listened in secret in the early 70's.But they were more radical and technically sophisticated than most of the "cool' rock acts that scoffed at them. They showed such courage and vision-going against the grain-even in those first two (failed) bands. How stupid we were when we thought we were so 'daring'.Spooky to see Henry Kissinger listening.Great to see John Bettis enthusing so graciously. And Tony Peluso's respectful honesty

  • @MrChad6729 I know, huh? Kissinger was actually a playah--people forget that.

  • one in a million million, never be matched.
