New Orleans born and bred (7th Ward Gentilly) and this song never fails to make me go all misty in the eye region. I wish I could've grown up in a New Orleans that was a good, safe place to live in but it still is the city that will always hold the key my heart. No matter where I roam, New Orleans will forever be my home. :)

@jamesbond504 Algiers is in da house! Right on James. Back then it was all about the party and chillin". I remember this group so well. I've seen them perform at least 8 or 9 times down in the Big Easy.

@Nawlinsman43 I feel you, I was born and raised on Tennesse St. I lived on Deslondes St. Yes, it's been 30 some odd years but the memories of what we had still resignate in our hearts. New Orleans will never be the same but what we had we can live on Forever!!!! When I hear this song I cry from the heart. I just wish our young folk would learn to appreciate and stop the killing. Sorry about this long letter but you can't sum N.O. up in a few words, it's so much more than that!
