  • Oops, I forgot to add. I don't mean to speak for Gally students. I really don't know why they don't show up. I'm way behind Deaf news.

  • That's mostly b/c they've been fed with false self-image all their life like requiring them to wear "aid" starting from elementary schools; most parents don't know ASL; being embarassed; and so on. I want Gally, if it ever will come to, to restore their self-image and esteem back. I can bet that on Eyeth, if a hearing parents and their deaf child with CI visiting there, they would scream with shock and put the parents to jail for abuse. They won't understand why we need hearing aid.

  • In my personal opinion, I'm sorry to say that I don't support diversity. Clerc was busy helping T. Gallaudet to found Gally by going to congress to ask for fund. He supported sign language, not oral. They shouldn't pollute Gally. They can go somewhere else. I know there are some "D"eaf ppl want to have CI, or wear hearing aid. To be continued...

  • I enjoyed your vlog and blog! Keep it up! You have good points about Gallaudet students and diversity. We can do something about it. Hopefully, we will impact them soon. I believe when we impact diversity, it would be a huge impact the Deaf communities than ever.

    Toby

  • Maybe the student have classes or to study for the test. Another possibility, Gallaudet did not have enough resources to advertise the conferences.
