This was requested by a student who needs to learn this tune among others before he can walk with his band.
The tutorial is basic but it has all the information required to learn the piece and the video can be paused and rewound to suit your learning ability.
The idea of the video tutorials came from fluters in the youtube community who wanted to carry on learning when their own rehearsal had finished. Learners don't always get the full attention of their teacher when they turn up for rehearsal as the band is usually trying to learn new tunes also and in some cases, learners are left to fend for themselves.
I hope through Youtube I can help provide a resource for those learners who want to carry on at home at a pace that suits them individually and the ultimate goal is to preserve the tradition, playing our tunes into the next millenium and further still.

  • @bigammoblue Thanks for your comment. I wasn't tonguing the note, not all tunes require tonguing and these tutorials are for beginners for a start. The tutorials that I have posted have helped may learners over the years and i do what I can to help whomever I can. i doubt you have ever made any positive contribution to anything in your life except helping to keep your local off licence open and maintaining the ranks of the Tufty Club.

  • I've always started this tune on high E

  • yes mate, it can be played in any key really, I have played it that way myself however when steve requested the song, i asked him which way they start it and this was it. All you need to do is drop it down a note for the way you play it.
