Sheriff John Whetsel talks about an attempted burglary OCSO deputies just happened to stumble upon. January 11, 2012 members of the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Warrant Team were in the 1700 block of NW 40th attempting to serve a warrant for a fugitive. While deputies were approaching the house, three men ran from out of a house across the street from where the deputies were trying to serve a warrant. One of the men was holding a computer and fell to the ground dropping the computer. The deputies at the time had no idea the men had just burglarized the house, but felt their actions were suspicious and attempted to stop the three men. One of the suspects took off on foot, two other suspects jumped into a pickup truck one driving and the other into the bed of the pickup. Unfortunately all three suspects were able to get away.
