Joseph Mainez - Theory of Mind

I originally thought of the idea for this piece at work and what the internal music might be for someone with autism. This idea made me want this piece to be quick-paced and somewhat overwhelming, similar to what I think a typical day is for someone with this disability. Just the sense of being overwhelmed with sights and sounds and dealing with the expectations of others. This is one of my favorites to play, so I hope you enjoy it.

Amazing! This is the third time in a row ive listened, im simply in awe. I visited my severely disabled cousin today who was morphed up from a big operation, she was so lost in her own thoughts it was scary. I think this music helps me understand the kind of world she must live in, its beautiful but scary.

hey nice video...very nice technique, unfortunately with the two handed tapping a lot of the time melody is sacrificed and our brains go on autopilot.. just smacking the guitar. A lot of the songs i have written are like this ahaha. keep working on your composition skillz for sure. think of a melody in your head... play it on guitar.

Thanks for the comment. Some of my other works have more melody than this song, but this was written with a different thought. It's a term for an impairment of Autism. I work with these individuals and I wanted to write something that captured the disorganization they face each day. Thank you again for the comment.
