  • As a black woman I view AA as offensive and racist.

And if I recall many black students who got into a University through AA dropped out. Mainly because a lot of them were not prepared or qualified to be in the school in the first place. And people wonder: why the achievement gap?

  • Im a Hispanic and i believe Affirmative action has got to be the most ineffective thing at promoting fairness.. how the hell is it fair to encourage one group OVER another... ALL should be encouraged equally... ALL should start with an equal chance.. if the results afterward are different then dont be suprised! we are all different and so our outcomes may reflect this.. so lets acknowledge our differences and learn to deal with it instead of making believe everyone is the same.

  • Affirmative Action (AA) is bull. How is it right to hold someone back from a job because of their race. AA does just that. SCENARIO: 2 men apply for same job one man black other white. If there is a test like most good paying state jobs the black man will receive what they call preference points. So lets say they both get the same score on the test. Once the preference points are applied 10 pts will be awarded to the black applicant due to race alone. Is this the best man for the job?

  • @Star16 ignorance must really be bliss

  • @interdemilan100 We start by not repeating the same mistakes slave owners used to make. They would backward rationalize 'justified discrimination' you dont become what you hate, to fix what you hate. You simply fix it by lobbying for laws that punish those who have been PROVEN to discriminate (AA does not do this) do not participate in reverse discrimination yourself. Im not for justifying favoring one group over another. You are confusing giving equal opportunity with giving equal outcomes.

  • true conservative right there. this guy makes ron paul look like stalin lol.

    (sarcasm)

  • John Mc Cain's answer- Yes. Simple honest good.

Obama's- Well Affirmative action blah blah blah blah just saying words so you dont realize what im saying makes no sense to anyone

  • @Star16

So brave of you to admit that! I really encourage you to speak out about this. I am also a minority but unfortunately my race does not receive the benefits of affirmative action. Thankfully I did not need it, but I know several kids that do.

  • @FlyUnicornsFly Where'd you get this sources?

  • Jesse Jackson uses affirmative action as a race card towards jobs that doesn't have many African-American men or women; one example the firehouse here got sued for being racist due to in-fact there's no black person working or even remotely applying for the spot. Now my friend who's dreamed is to become a fireman will not get that wish until the fire department hires one black person.

    Its been two years now!

  • As a Black Man I view black women that are agains AA as offensive and racist

  • 'Paid for by democrats' So? guy spoke his mind, how many politicians do that? let alone democrats. Listen to Obamas take on AA he gives one of his yes no answers as usual cause hes an idiot like most dems
