Finally someone showing American cars can handle. I dont know why everyone stuck in the past when american cars had soft suspensions. Mustangs pulling .95Gs for only $30k but people want to say it cant handle and compare to a porsche GT3 or a ferrari f430 scuderia that cost well over $100K.

@peanuts2105 i tell you what, American cars are built better than they used to be at least give us credit for that , for instance we never used to have sports luxary now we have the cadillac cts-v which is faster than the highly touted nissan gtr. Also as well mosler went to europe to race his car against the best competition he could find, porche, ferrari etc He ended up winning every race on the europian race circuit. so you know what they did? they banned him from ever racing in europe again

Excellent vid! People will continue to believe what they want to believe, despite the irrefutable evidence put before them. Once they can no longer a particular point, they'll move on to something else ('Well, the Corvette has a plastic interior, wah, wah, wah!') They can believe whatever they want. While they're out there sniffling and moaning, we'll be on the winner's podium! :D

@DanFrederiksen Actually, you have companies like Tesla trying their hardest to make an electric car work. They have the luxury of charging a lot of money, so they can add MORE tech to their cars. But they still can't meet what you claim. The problem is, that electric is NOT as good as gas at this point, it is still a far ways off. You are too mindless, you can't even see the facts available NOW.
-
@TheOfficialKC no the problem with electric cars is that the automakers are as ignorant and have as piss poor attitude as you do. that's our only problem.
that you haven't seen electric cars full potential yet is exactly for that reason. but you are too mindless to understand that and you will hold on to the obtuseness as the beast that you are.
-
@DanFrederiksen I am sure electric will get better in the future, but now it is still far behind ICE, and ICE is FAR from being fully developed. At this point, ICE is cheaper, lighter, easier to fill, lasts longer, is more compact and has a much farther range.
But of course you think the opposite, you also said the US is devoted to "primitive" V8s. Funny that these "primitive" pushrod V8s are lighter, more compact and more fuel efficient for the same HP than "advanced" DOHC.
-
@DanFrederiksen Sure, 400km range is decent, and 6 minute charge would be nice, but those arguments only work when they are true in the REAL world. That is where electric cars fall flat on their face STILL. There is a reason they make range extending hybrids, electric isn't viable for most situations yet. If your whole life revolves around a 50 mile circle, and you can charge up at work, then electric is fine.

@TheOfficialKC: Its been awhile since I have to this video. And I gotta say KC. Most of these guys that you replied to a year are total fucking idiots. I mean seriously. Can they get anymore nit-picky??????
-
@DanFrederiksen Yes' I noticed what you said about the '6 minute recharge'. I also noticed what you said about the '400km range'...
-
@t45tube if you aren't mindless, did you notice what I said about 6 minute recharge..
-
@DanFrederiksen Believe me sunshine, I'm far from being mindless. I'm not daft enough to think the battery powered electric car is the perfect solution for global transport for a start. While electric cars can - and do - provide viable transport for some (mainly city dwellers making short trips from what I can tell) they're completely useless for many others. Some firm advocates of electric cars readily admit their limitations and resort to internal combustion when required. But not you I guess.
-
@t45tube and you are mindless enough to 'think' that's a bad thing
This video is utter bollocks. You cannot quantify handling with accelerometer and a stop watch.
Its about feel through your buttocks, spine, pedals and steering wheel. American cars tick some of those boxes. But if you want the whole lot, buy a 911, Aston Martin AMV8 or an Audi R8 to name a few. Yep European presicion scalpel engineering. Not a hamburger with a huge 1970 V8 and a supercharger.
Don't get me started on American build quality... I'll be here all day

@peanuts2105 There is more to a car than just numbers, there is JOY, and that is what you are talking about. And NO car will ever "check all the boxes."
An Aston Martin is never going to be as agile or fun as any of the cars in this video, the R8 will never be as fun(even watch Top Gear's R8 vs ZR1), and only a couple 911s are good.
The handling joy is mainly affected by weight, suspension, and chassis setup. It is hard to beat the Mosler or Iconic there.
