I think what Neil is singing about is a man in the middle, between wanting to have someone he trusts enough to grant access into his house and live nearby but far enough away to let go if he has to.

Love doesn't work that way. You're either in it all the way or you're fooling somebody, possibly yourself.

One of the scariest things a human can do is drop your guard enough to let yourself become vulnerable to another person.

People change. A relationship has to be strong enough to bend.

j ai connu cette chanson...cette melodie.....en aout 2005....................la personne qui me la faisait ecouter est devenue par la suite le pere de mon fils...................j ai eu le coupdfoudre pour cette melodie.que d emotions....de sensibilité..............tout y est..............moi..a ce jour, je m endors avec et mon fils de 6 ans aussi...............ah j oubliais...je suis separee de son pere, mais pas de cette musique............
