  • I drove a stock bullit the other day. I was not impressed at all. I drive a H/C/I/E LS1 so take that with a grain of salt. I do like the simple look though. I would definitely drive a bullit long before a regular GT.

  • Ha ur so right. I like the bullitt because it handles good, and yeah the looks are clean but yeah the power is pretty weak with the bullitt. Ford needs to learn how to make a fast car for once lol. This car has been sold for awhile now...cant say I miss it to much

  • Yeah I told my friend (the owner) that it handled like a truck and rolled over in the corners real bad. He said I should drive a stock GT lmao. I felt much more stable and comfortable in my car. Suspension wise it is bone stock except the Decarbon shocks were replaced with Bilstien HD's.

    For me, 03-04 Cobra> Bullit> I wouldn't drive any other mustangs. Bullits do look mean as hell when lowered.

  • Does the Bullit use the dohc motor, or is that just Cobras, I thought Ford made a dohc automatic, maybe the Mach 1, anyone know?

  • its a SOHC. the only thing different about the bullitt motor is the intake and pullys. all bullitts are 5 speed by the way.

  • @Treyb0220 well i dont know what stats your were looking at but they list the GT's at least 2003 like mine at 260 which is still lower than what it actually is at around 270, and this is because Ford and most other companies put down a lower number on paper so that the competition would make around the same power to their engines and they would have better times and what not because of their little lie. haha sorry for bringing up an old post too lol

  • I was comparing suspension mainly. The power difference is more than obvious. The bullit had more in common with my DD tacoma than my Formula.

  • the 245 for GT's is BS considering mine dyno'ed at 230 at the wheels bone stock. and with 15% drivetrain loss thats actually 270 hp. but who races dyno's anyways? lol

  • upper and lower intake manifolds are completely different AND a dual 57mm throttle body plus pulleys and a better flowing exhaust. It was not only 5hp more then a standard GT. When the Bullitt came out, it was tested differently then the GT. The standard GT true hp is 245 NOT 260hp. Think about all the changes-does anyone really believe a car only gains 5hp with those changes? It is impossible. Stock Bullitts quickest times were recorded at a 13.9-put a blower on one and you should run low 12s.

  • When your marketing a car for the mid $20K price range and you put a drivetrain developed for a corvette in it, there is only so much to work with. I haven't had any problems with my car. Yeah, the interior has a lot of plastic in it, I don't care. If I wanted a nice interior I would buy a BMW or a benz. Look at it like this, at least my shifter is in a comfortable place. On the mustang its half way into the passenger's lap just about on the dash.

  • if that LS1 of your's is in an F-Body, anything you say should be taken with a grain of salt. What a poor excuse for an automobile surrounding that motor.
