THE ONLY KNOWN VIDEO FOOTAGE OF MOXY w/ Buzz Shearman. NO AUDIO. The song they are performing is called "Midnight Flight".

Canadian band MOXY perfomed at the Canadian World Music Festival in Toronto with original frontman Buzz Shearman on a bill that included Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Nazareth, Johnny Winter, The Ramones, & Goddo. 65,000 fans were treated to a fantastic day of rock'n'roll.

I attended the concert with 12 friends from high school. We arrived at midnight the night before where fans partied all night long getting ready for the gates to open @ noon the next day.

Moxy created a stir in the USA with major radio play in Texas where the band headlined with AC/DC as the opening act on three US tour dates. Moxy also headlined with Boston as the opening act on a US tour date.

Buzz Shearman passed away at the age of 33 in a motorcycle accident and was approached by AC/DC to become their new singer following the death of Bon Scott.

MOXY's legacy will remain close to the hearts of rock fans all over the world and the band will always be a key part of Canadian rock'n'roll history.

The song "Loud, Hard, Fast & Wild" honouring Buzz Shearman and MOXY by Don Coleman is endorsed by MOXY and is receiving air play at Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) home games at the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Awesome Story ...thanks for sharing... I was outside all night with the other 2,500 people and rushed the stage when the gates opened. You had a better plan!

  • @vancaulart

You remember it exactly the same way I do.

Thanks for your personal story....Keep it Rockin'

  • I was there! I remember little, but it was fun. I do remember the Toronto Police on horseback at about 6 am controlling the gate. In the wee hours of the morning, beer bottles were hurrled at a police van and things got weird.

I remember the Ramones getting apples and pop cans tossed at them in the afternoon when they played. I was real buzzed for Johnny Winter. Don't remember much of him. Ted was great! Aerosmith is a blur.
