  • So, what he is trying to tell you is don't piss off Aunt Stella!

  • @PanAmPatrick Because in its original guise the 707 was actually a couple of inches smaller than the DC-8. But in the end, the DC-8 proved to be a capable airplane, more capable than the 707. Now you can still see DC-8s flying cargo, while civil 707 operations has mostly ended.

  • I wonder why United decided to buy DC-8s (seen at 0:19) over the 707s. The 707 came out first (in the US), was faster, and longer ranged. The DC-8 isn't bad at all. It just confuses me why an airline formed from BOEING would not only buy a Douglas jetliner, but also be its biggest customer. Whatever it is, this really does show the greatness of air travel in the '60s and '70s. Friendly service, big-screen color movies (0:30 and nicknamed the Jetarama Theater), and delicious food. (0:35 Sirloin!)

  • hi did!

  • Did he say Los "Angle" les

  • Ah the good old days. You can only have Lunch Up front. Even though these days they do have tV's in the seats. However You can't go into the crown of the statue of liberty last time i checked. Pity oh well at least flying is cheaper
