Yah can't leave well enough alone can ya? Your stupid snare that sounds so poor, and ya had to add congos to it also? Oh by the way, that crash sounds just great over Ringo's cymbal. NOT! Yah just can't leave the perfection of the original song alone...can you! I mean"enhanced"just for the stereo and to give the 1964 sound a more modern sound but indeed nobody can do better than the Beatles! "congas"were not useful indeed and do know that i never meant to do better than the fab4,the most fabulous popband ever!

@bodywhomp98 I thought it was just me: a friend gave me a copy of the anniversary release of Exile on Main Street and it doesn't sound very good. The vocals seem buried for one thing. What's wrong with people releasing stuff like this?

anyway, cd transfers have been remixing stuff for years now. Sgt Pepper's been remixed. jagger has talked about exile on main street sounds terrible. Would love to hear all the beatles stuff remixed, cleaned up. Also Derek & the dominos LAYLA. So many things got buried in the master. Loved that Harrison remixed all things must pass. Always hated how so many parts were lost in the final mixes, especially horns & keyboards. Grandpa will stop talking now because UTUBE makes me decipher puzzles.

so, what was enhanced? Was it remixed? remastered? stuff added? Wish someone would remix lots of classic albums. Always read that this LP was rushed between tours and suffered from the process of being pressed out. Still one of my favorites, especially words of love, but critics usually slam it for the too many covers. Well, don't pressure rock stars to put out lps when they've exhausted and burned out. Problem for us in the states was capitol's release screwing up the number of tracks.
