By chance I happened to catch this episode the first time it aired in 1998, and was immediately hooked on the series. I waited in vain long afterward with a fresh tape in the VCR and clicker in hand while every other episode was repeated several times. I even called Warner Bros. trying to obtain a copy, but was told nothing was available & there were no plans for home video release. After years of searching on the web, I not only found someone with a copy - I found the culprit! Not surprisingly, certain religious types have both selective memory with regard to history and no sense of humor regarding their faith and its institutions. http://www.catholicleague.org/release.php?id=139 You'll notice there are no objections to any claims of fact presented (however cheekily) in the piece, only a persistent whining to the network & the FCC about "Catholic-baiting" - whatever that's supposed to mean: http://www.catholicleague.org/catalyst.php?year=1998&month=December&r... Apparently it means that if you air the church's dirty laundry without presenting it in a perspective of disgust and horror normally befitting humanity, you're bound to provoke a ludicrous response from a Cat-lick! ...And you'll be censored for it, naturally. After all, first impressions are lasting; and how will kids ever become good cu$tomers if this is their introduction to the faith? Wake up kids (of all ages) ! Discard your silly fairy tales & superstitions and embrace the almighty First Amendment, which is essential to the pursuit of real truth and understanding! YES now!

  • I remember being sick from school the day before my test on the Spanish Inquisition and this episode was on. I was convinced it was divine intervention especially because this episode got me 100% on that test. Thank you Histeria!!

  • I wish they would put this show on DVD!

  • No one expects the Spanish inquisition.

  • @toshio1334 That's what i heard....

  • It's cool how this show is funny and accurate at the same time, The Spanish Inquisition was like that, they thought you were guilty and anted you to confess. If you confessed, you were doomed, if you denied, you were doomed.

  • 5:12 fuck you?

  • To be honest, I never watched this show when I was a kid, nor do remember of its existance, but looking back I regret not watching this. This ia an Awesome show!

  • Nobody expects THIS Spanish Inquisition!

    The Inquisition!

    What a show!

  • mauseman67 the catholics aren't all like that, i am one and i don't think like the inquisitors did (i agree with your view though, but it does not apply to regular catholics, it applies to the fanatics)

  • @CartoonOperatics93 Yes, unfortunately humans are not as merciful as Jesus and commit hienous acts of violence saying that it is in his name, sad, very sad, a shame to all catholics those people became.

  • This is NOT what Jesus would do! Jesus would allow people to WILLINGLY convert to Christianity.

  • this is the best 6 min and 49 sec of my life.
