@clh37204 he HASto use an amp,even though its acoustic,it has pickups,or is mic'ed.the other amplifiers would completly drown it out and the bass would even be heard if not amplified.
all acoustic basses are for small living room shows,if not mic'ed.

Dave has the ability to write songs that could have come right out of the 50's. I remember when the Blasters, back in the day (early 80's) were referred to as part punk (along with rock n roll, rockabilly, & blues).

Not to sound too pretentious here, but the lyrics of this song are outstanding poetry. Combined with the awesome music and the fact that it's about Hank Williams makes it even better.
