I think for lots of people, knowing = strong and believing = weak. They end up claiming to know things they can't possibly know, and that's the weakest position of all. But when you pin them down on *how* they know, they try to fob you off with 'you wouldn't understand', when - as we know - they just don't want to give an answer that will expose how weak their position really is.

Egotists love flaunting their majority status over the minorities, in aristocracy, democracy, etc., which is WHY we have the kind of constitution we have to prevent such a thing. If you fall outside of the majority rule for even a second and saw what'd happen to you, you wouldn't advocate straight democracy, just as our founders here in the US did not and set up a Representative Republic instead, and for the same reason. I love how it has to be a strawman tactic when someone just nailed you completely for your incompetence. You just said it was dictatorial for there to be rights for the minority not to be mob-ruled by the majority. The majority wanted to keep enslaving blacks, and thought they were worthy of being hanged. The majority do a lot of stupid shit and have done so throughout all history... something of which you clearly know nothing.
