@mattneighbour To each his own but with a large listening room my heavy Arcam AVR is pretty stationary whereas the remote control is easily misplaced especially when the phone rings...

@arcamadeus Erm, pause button? Mute? I really do wonder how many people who moan about no volume control actually ever use theirs. This is an AV product and TVs don't have volume knobs.
No-one mentioned the lack of volume control on the Solo Movie...

Yes Phono input this thing is clean i have it and love it, a midrange to die for and highs so clean and crisp

A volume knob is a must when phone or door bell rings and you can't locate the remote... This is minimalism run amok!!

if its ARCAm it has the ability to make your speakers and DVD or bluray sound far better than the cinema.

Hello buttrocker, THX is just a lable given to stuff that has the minumum requirements for THX specs. I would't even bother trying to get everything THX, most good Av equipment meets the spec regarless.
