"Baby, What You Want Me To Do" was written and first recorded by the legendary blues artist Jimmy Reed in 1959. The song has since become a popular blues piece for a number of artists including Elvis Presley and in 1964 for the great Etta James.

  • Elvis covered this in his 68 TV special and during one part of the stand show he did wasn't ment to be recorded but he just did it during a technical hitch and it was recorded in full,it's on Youtube. I have a recording of him at a friends house in 73 doing a rough version of this.

    Etta's version is great.

  • @1954771 Of course, both Etta and Elvis "covered" Jimmy Reed's original...Elvis was a huge Jimmy Reed fan covering several of his hits.
