I love this clip because most "Hollywood types" try to act cool or blasé, but Paul Sorvino just blubbered. Awesome. Proud Papa.

Is it me, or did Mira look so stunning?! And she still continues to look beautiful.

I just interviewed Paul Sorvino for my web site and I asked him about this moment. He said it was just a great moment of pride.

She was great in "The Grey Zone" a concentration camp Holocaust independent film from about ten years ago-2004ish. Plus she got a SAG, Golden and Emmy noms for the tv movie about human trafficking

he was probably expecting and hoping his "Nixon" costar Joan Allen would win; the predictors said it would be Sorvino or Allen or Winslet but Sorvino had the edge having won the NYFilm Critics award a few months earlier, not sure who won the Golden Globe

very bright and well educated too, attended schools in Europe and graduated with honors from Yale; she also won The NYFilm Critics Award (who usually get it right, and they did here of course) for best sup actress too; two other great performances imo were first runner up ties: Kate Winslet(Sense and Sensibility)&JoanAllen(Nixon); Sorvino was hilarious and heart breaking too; she was also excellent in "The Grey Zone" a SecondWorldWar Holocaust independent film.
