Agree with most of what you say but stop using Cro Cop as evidence of pride fighters not winning in the UFC due to age. Cro Cop won the 2006 Pride Open Weight Grand Prix in September of 06. Just 6 months later he had his head kicked off by Gabriel Gonzaga. Did he age all of a sudden in such a short space of time? No. Because that reasoning is stupid.

Cro Cop came to the USA and didn't properly train. he admitted to not training elbows OR in a cage up until that point. Gonzaga was also a MASSIVE underdog. Cro Cop was being given the "Lesnar" treatment. Beat Sanchez and Gonzaga and you get a title shot.

He didn't age overnight, but he went a long time between actually training properly for a UFC bout and by time he did, things had regressed too far. IMO

@nflizsoft6 2cont. ortiz held his the longest out of all the fighters with that style. a fighter needs, OH and BROCK LESNAR...anyway...a fighter needs to be well rounded. after all this IS MMA. i can't stand when anyone uses wrestling as a credential...those fuckers get taken down like everyone else. ...and since when was wrestling dangerous? sure it has it's holds and locks...but compared to bjj? bjj practitioners were choking and armbarring wrestlers in the beginning. sonnen is done.

@nflizsoft6 next champ? really...when? whether you look at this historically or in real time...a fighter like sonnen will NEVER hold a belt longer than 6-7 defenses. he is a staple of many 'all-american' fighter. you know, the wrestler they taught a couple of strikes to and in the end the good ol' wrestling shows up...GROUND AND POUND their way to the win BABY! the better striker will own the belt. FACT. mark coleman, mark kerr, randy, dan severen, koss, sonnen, shit...even henderson.

first sonnen is an example of how it's ok for SOME members of society to trash talk and not get criticized by the same group that criticizes other players for being...'cocky'. tell that trick sonnen to get his a** on AM radio so he can join the other conservative hosts pushing that rhetoric.

the transition from ring to cage is a transition. cro cop, fedor, rampage, etc are all great fighters from pride, but they have to deal with that transition from ring to cage.

@doliveij fedor lost in 2010-11 because he finally fought legit opponents not named big nog, cro cop lost in america full stop because he really was never that good i mean he did lose to wandy a mw in pride in his prime and he didnt beat fedor or big nog or even randleman, but he did beat barnett 3 times to his credit. and wandy lost because being in that many wars in an era like pride was bound to catch up on your chin. nonetheless sonnen is the next champ.

he didnt cheat in mma if you actually read what happened. Sonnen says things that are really true. people from pride have been shit in the ufc. the only person that has been really good is henderson
