Oral storytelling is an African tradition. The National Museum of African Art, in Washington, D.C., is keeping the griot tradition alive and using it to encourage children to read more about Africa. VOA's Saskia de Melker has more.
Diane! That was wonderful, I'm so excited! You're famous!!! Yay!!!!
What a wonderful way of teaching children, and really engaging them so that they can learn about the African culture and have so much fun at the same time. It is so clear that it is a labor of love. Bravo for the wonderful work that you do with so much love.
